Alex Ayala is an Assistant Project Manager for the ACT-STEM project at Middle Tennessee State University. He is an undergraduate double major in Mechatronics Engineering and Professional Studies at MTSU and plans to pursue a Master of Business Administration at MTSU following graduation.
Alex is passionate about STEM education and enjoys exploring ways to better prepare students for the constantly evolving needs of industry. He is excited to be part of the ACT-STEM project and values the opportunity to contribute to collaborative efforts that support innovative and inclusive teaching practices.
After college, Alex hopes to apply his combined background in engineering and business in industry, where he aims to develop high-quality, thoughtfully designed projects that emphasize universal design and creative problem-solving. He approaches his work guided by the motto “Design with ingenuity, communicate with clarity, and lead with integrity,” which reflects his commitment to meaningful collaboration and leveraging the strengths of those around him to build the best solutions possible.
