Dr. Andrew Puente is a post-doctoral research fellow in chemistry education at Middle Tennessee State University. He received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Vanderbilt University, where he used computational chemistry to investigate the chiroptical properties of hydrogen-bonding dimers. He also graduated from Wabash College with a B.A. in Chemistry and Mathematics. Dr. Puente’s research interests are in the teaching and learning of physical chemistry. In ACT-STEM, he will focus on social network analysis to better understand the intradepartmental relationships within STEM teaching communities.
