Dr. Gregory Rushton is a Professor of Chemistry and the Director of the Tennessee STEM Education Center (TSEC) at Middle Tennessee State University. He earned his B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Southern California, his M.Ed. in Secondary Science Education, and his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of South Carolina.
Before entering academia, Greg taught high school chemistry. His work focuses on advancing chemistry education through research on conceptual change, pedagogical content knowledge, science teacher leadership, and large-scale analyses of the STEM teaching workforce.
Outside of work, Greg enjoys driving golf carts recklessly, waking up at 2:00 am in the morning, and munching on sugar free snacks.
